Life has strange twists and turns. COVID and this seemingly never-ending pandemic we are all facing has dealt us quite a change in how we are able to carry on.
We are holding close and trying to keep steady with what we have on our plates. The rate of new work coming in to replace what has been completed, to keep everyone busy and employed, is a major area of concern. From last year from March – June, when everything came to a sudden and grinding halt, the medical research community announced COVID would most likely linger longer – warning of the variants to come, and here they are. Some individuals and businesses braved themselves to resurrect projects, creating their own silver lining, and the A&D community got back to work. Nothing we needed to control what we would, our work. Designers, Architects, Contractors and the like were then all playing catch-up for the remainder of the year.
We have now entered a new year, with new variants, and still trying to navigate our way through a world that seems to have dimmed. We seem to have done the exact opposite, going from a place of excitement and surprise to sitting behind windows and closed doors, at home, trying to see through a world of confusion and doubt. As we progress through this seemingly never ending cycle of lockdown and the unknown, ideas around getting back into the office and into public spaces is driven in full force. Creating space separation that can be easily cleaned and reconfigured is at the top of a lot of to-do lists.
As businesses continue to evolve just as quickly as the technology powering them, moveable wall systems must provide a stimulating environment and preform more duties than ever before. Generating essential space as needed, access power and network connections, all while providing high aesthetic value and packing as much sound and visual privacy as prescribed. Today’s demountable walls provide the long-term flexibility demanded to remain competitive. While reduction of HVAC and lighting costs, practically eliminate remodeling charges and provide dynamic environments where today’s minimalist tech-savvy personnel can perform to their highest potential is an added bonus.
